SiGMa 2017 to feature GPI European Poker Conference
The fourth annual Summit of iGaming Malta (SiGMa) is due to take place at the island nation’s Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre from November 22 to 25 and will this year feature the latest edition of the European Poker Conference.
A product of poker ranking authority Global Poker Index (GPI), the second annual European Poker Conference is to offer Malta attendees the ability to take part in a collection of five 45-minute panel sessions where a diverse array of topics will be discussed.
“GPI’s European Poker Conference needed a stronger platform to connect the live and online poker industry,” read a statement from Alex Dreyfus (pictured), Chief Executive Officer for GPI. “SiGMa attracted almost 4,000 visitors last year and expects that number to grow to over 7,000 in 2017. Working with it will allow us to have a much broader reach and develop initiatives aimed at growing the game of poker by connecting more and more the industry stakeholders.”
Dreyfus revealed that each of the panels at its European Poker Conference will feature a unique contingent of industry experts and concentrate on topics such as what the different pockets of the European poker world are doing right or wrong. They are to moreover discuss ways to successfully synthesize a clear outlook for the future of the game in the region and how to contribute to the sport’s evolution and growth.
GPI described its European Poker Conference as the year’s “defining opportunity for the European poker community to come together for collaborative brainstorming” and declared that attendees will be able to hear from “operators, sponsors, casino executives, tournament directors, players and the media.”
